This townhome was originally a warren of small dark spaces, and ultimately transformed into a light filled oasis for a young family. The upper floor houses living spaces centered around a kitchen, with roof decks on both ends that take advantage of key San Francisco views. Open risers and glass flooring flood the lower level vestibules with light. Steel window boxes serve as modern interpretations of bay windows at the bedrooms to help bring light into the more intimate spaces.
